Looking forward to Saturday: a day trip in London and I get to see some friends from my year in Horsham. It's so nice to be home, just relax, go for little walks, go shopping and have time to see some old friends :) Plus, today the weather is gorgeous! Reason no. 299 :)

'Moving from slavery to sonship or daughtership is a matter of reaching the place where you get up in the morning feeling so loved and accepted in your Father's heart that your whole purpose for existence becomes looking for ways to give that love away to the next person you meet.'
Jack Frost

That's where I want to be, that's where You've called me to be. Reason no. 298 :)

'Enter into the promises of God. It is your inheritance. You will do more in one year if you are really filled with the Holy Ghost than you could do in fifty years apart from Him.'

Smith Wigglesworth

God, I want to be someone who walks in the promises you said over me. You have given me a glorious inheritance, one that far exceeds anything I deserve and one that goes beyond imagination. Will You remind me of You've made me to be and all that You have for me? Let me learn to partner with Holy Spirit, learn to listen to where You're calling me to go and all the things You want me to do. Thank you.

It's really interesting coming back home and walking down the streets near my house. It's so different to being in Manchester. As soon as I walked out of my halls this year I was surrounded by students. Being back home means I now feel quite old, I'm constantly passing kids finishing school. Manchester and my home town are 2 very different places, one being filled with students and the other filled with families. It's nice living in 2 different settings, but I've definitely learnt that I prefer living in a city! Looking at the demographics of a population was one thing I absolutely loved about studying geography. Reason no. 296 :)

Today I heard news of another friend expecting a baby! It's so exciting to see my friends getting engaged, married, starting to have children :) Reason no. 295 :)

Afternoon with my parents in Media City UK. It's such a nice place to explore. We had a lovely meal out after going to the Imperial War Museum. We also walked along the Quays and watched  people doing various water sports. Reason no. 293 :)

Today was my last day in Manchester before heading home for the summer. I feel so blessed to be living in Manchester, it's such an amazing city. I've made some great friends and I've enjoyed living in halls. This year was not exactly how I expected, but it's definitely been really good. Thank you God for every blessing You've given me this year, for the prayers You answered and the fact that You remained true to who You say You are! You have been faithful. Thank you! God doesn't have to bless me. He doesn't have to give me good things. Yet He does and He does it in abundance and so extravagantly! It's out of choice rather than something He has to do. Thank you God! Reason no. 289 :)

You have good things in store for me!! You are a good God, who is faithful to Your promises. Reason no. 287 :)

Yesterday was lovely! The sun was out and my halls had a summer party-like-thing. A free BBQ, free ice cream and a bouncy castle and other little things around was so nice. It was such a lovely way to end the year in my halls. I've definitely enjoyed my time in halls this year and has been better than I expected! Reason no. 286 :)

God is so faithful and so good! Yesterday I lost my purse and ID , whilst out. Having noticed it was missing I started to attempt to have a look for it, but it seemed rather pointless...there were soooo many people around. A little while later someone suggested I headed over to security and guess what? It was there!! The fact that in the space of 20 mins or so of noticing it was gone someone had handed it in for me already. How incredible! God was good. Reason no. 285 :)

Just read someones status and the comment that followed and loved it, so here's the general idea:

When the day feels like a waste of time or its just felt outright rubbish, it helps us to appreciate the good days...they're all useful.

'This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike: 'what's next, Papa?' God's spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what's coming to us - an unbelievable inheritance!'

'Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.'

For a couple of days this week I was back home for my mum's 50th. It was great to be back and see my family, have a day trip in Rye and see some old family friends from Hastings. On the journey back I ended up sitting with 2 people I went to Highworth with, who I hadn't seen in at least 2 years! We had a lovely little catch up and it definitely helped make the journey not feel so long! Reason no, 278 :)

Thank you God for placing me with such a great set of people on my course! This week a few SLTs headed to Lyme Park for the day (where some of Pride and Prejudice is set!). It was great company and an amazing day! We were able to dress up once there, so we spent the day fancy dress wandering the grounds and the house! Reason no. 277 :)
